Editorial Policies & Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
Peer review. All scientific articles published in the Fashion & Textiles Industry shall have undergone peer review, based on initial editor screening and blind refereeing by at least one anonymous referee. We are committed to high academic standards, treating publication as a collaborative process between Author, Reviewers and Editors. The Scientific Content and Quality of the manuscript are the two basic components to the review of a manuscript. We aim to have reviewers’ comments back in the journal office within two weeks of receipt of the article, and to give authors an initial decision about acceptance within a further two weeks.
The Editor’s role is to be a moderator of the discourse between Reviewers and Authors, and will enforce ethical standards of behavior in the review and response process.
Authorship. The list of authors should include all those who can legitimately claim authorship. Submission of a manuscript requires that all authors agree to the authorship as listed in the manuscript. At least one author should be designated as the guarantor for the integrity of the data on which the article is based. This will normally be the author for correspondence. Our authorship policies conform to international standards.
Open Access Policy. Our journal provides open access to all of its content. The principle is making research freely available to the public supports a greater exchange of knowledge. Users may read, download, and link to any article. Authors (or where required by law, employers) retain copyright.
Plagiarism. Authors are required to properly cite and quote sources of literature that they utilized in formulating their research articles. All sources must be disclosed. Plagiarism is an unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Authors should not submit for consideration in another journal a previously published paper. Any article found to have been submitted to, or under consideration by, more than one journal will be immediately rejected.
Publication Frequency. Regular issues are published 4 times annually.
Quality of the English. All manuscript and abstracts are expected to be written in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these). The grammar, spelling, usage, and punctuation of the text are very important for an effective presentation for non-native English speakers. The journal editor will not put a paper into review if the English presentation is inadequate.
Article Fees. If your manuscript has been accepted for publication in our regular issue, we will send you an invoice.
